Chris Yogerst, Tournament Insights

Chris Yogerst is an avid tournament angler and is working his way up the ranks in the bass fishing world.  He has fared well in tournaments all over Wisconsin and is now branching out of the state to pursue larger goals.  He competed in an outdoor fishing tournament/reality show in Canada in 2004 called The Last Cull.  It was produced by the members of Fishin' Canada and hosted by Roland Martin.  Chris finished 5th out of 50 competitors.  In the fall of 2007 he guided Roland Martin while filming three television shows in northern Wisconsin.  In October of 2008 he qualified for the BASS Weekend Series national championship and finished 22nd.  In addition to fishing he is currently pursuing a master's degree from Regent University in critical studies in film and television and writes about film for a publication called Parcbench (www.parcbench.com), where he is the section editor.
