NEW JACKPLATE WITH MORE SETBACK ANNOUNCED
A new hydraulic jackplate with a 14-inch
setback is now available from Bob's Machine Shop. The longer setback
moves the motor farther behind the transom for more propeller bite and
improved performance.
The new jack is rated up to 300hp/625LB
motors. To handle higher-power engines, its slide plate was
re-designed for extra strength, and more structural support bars were added
for rigidity. Instead of mounting the hydraulic pump on the transom,
BMS installs its pumps inside the boat for extra protection and easy access.
Many high-performance boaters and fishermen
use jackplates to access shallow water and reduce turbulence around the
engine. Allowing the motor to operate in "cleaner" water improves
speed, fuel economy and boat handling.
Bob's Machine Shop covers its patented 14-inch
jack with a lifetime warranty on the structure and a three-year warranty on
the pump.
The new jack retails for $1,324.95.
