MegaStrike’s Evolution Jig Wins “Best New Hard Lure” at 2006 ICAST

The MegaStrike Company is proud to announce that it’s Evolution Jig  www.evolutionlures.com has been chosen as the “Best New Hard Lure” at the 2006 ICAST Convention in Las Vegas.

The Evolution Jig is the first real innovative jig design to come along in forty years. It features a new Advanced Skirt Forward Technology along with a virtually invisible Flourocarbon Weed Guard made exclusively for MegaStrike. Many of these new and innovative designs are Patent Pending. The Evolution is also the only jig to also have a patent pending designed flaring disc and skid plate.

Bobby Uhrig, founder and President of MegaStrike says “Anyone can copy a successful lure, but we would rather be the standard. This jig has many unique patent pending features and with the impending lead ban on lures, the tin head is just another of its great qualities. We are thrilled the industry has embraced our design by awarding us this great honor.”

Professional bass angler Lee Bailey Jr. had the opportunity to use a prototype of the Evolution at a recent Bassmaster Elite 100 event on Oneida Lake in New York. He brought in the heaviest bag on day one, the heaviest fish on the final day and finished in fifth place overall in the prestigious event. He had this to say about the jig: “ Every fish I weighed in was caught on Megastrike’s Evolution Jig. The action of the lure is amazing. I hope Bobby can make them quick enough, because once the word gets out, every bass fisherman will want this lure.”

The MegaStrike Company is based in North Brunswick, New Jersey. Founded in 2002, the company has gained the reputation of creating and marketing successful, innovative new products for the fishing industry, including MegaStrike Fish Attractant and Cavitron Buzzbaits.
