Water Supply and Environmental Regulation Schedule Quarterly Meeting.

The South Florida Water Management District and the United States Army Corps of Engineers will host a public meeting January 18th, 2001 from 10:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. to discuss the implementation of the WSE regulation schedule for Lake Okeechobee. The environmental impact statement for this regulation schedule requires quarterly interagency meetings to review and discuss the operations of Lake Okeechobee. The management of Lake Okeechobee is a district wide issue. Therefore, a quarterly public meeting, which allows all interested parties to participate, has been recommended. The format of the meetings is intended to solicit public comment on how Lake Okeechobee was managed over the last three months and what are the challenges and opportunities in the next three months for the management of Lake Okeechobee. For those of you who cannot attend the meeting in person, we will be broadcasting live from our website: http://www.sfwmd.gov/real/caminst.html
