Southern California Fishermen Unite for
America!
Special Benefit Concert for the
N. Y. Firefighterıs
Widows and Orphans Fund
Thursday, October 4 5:30-11 p.m.
Belly Up Tavern, Solana Beach
Featuring many of San Diegoıs finest artists including
The Dorados
This event has very special meaning to the band- two members of the group,
co-founder Gary Shiebler and singer Jim Dawson, are native New Yorkers and nine
members of their neighborhood fire department have lost their lives in the World
Trade Center disaster.
³The short and long term impact that this tragedy will have
on the families of these fallen heroes is immeasurable,² says Gary. ³Iıve
felt so powerless these past few weeks being so far away from home. Our
brotherhood of fisherman here in the southland is strong, we always come out and
support each other in times of need. Now we can do something to help these
families. Please come out and give as much as you can.²
There will be a ³Worldıs Largest Tackle Box² on stage at
the show for donations. Any saltwater or freshwater businesses, clubs or groups
that wish to contribute can call Mahi Mahi Records at 1 888 550 MAHI (6244). The
Belly Up Tavern is located at 143 South Cedros Avenue in Solana Beach. Call 858
481 8140 for info and directions.
(The Dorados will perform at approximately 7:30 p.m.)
