WATER TEMPERATURE AND BASS LOCATION
Water temperature will also position fish in predictable depths and places. It is one weather condition that should never be overlooked by any angler.
In the summertime when the water temperature is 60 degrees or higher and the fish have already spawned, the bass are going to relate, primarily, to outside lake structure areas. These are areas like points, creek channels and other outside areas where you have water movement from wind and current.
In the cold weather — below the 60-degree mark — the bass will really concern themselves with temperature. They will seek the warmest water in the lake, which is usually in protected pockets and coves. You can almost always find them there.
