Our Thoughts

The act of fishing is, for me, the quintessential summertime activity. I love being out on the open water, enjoying the sunshine and fresh air, and of course, trying to catch a big one! And when it comes to fishing sunglasses, I have a hard time spending hundreds of dollars on a pair of sunglasses that I’m probably going to drop in the water.

I’ve tried fishing without them, but that was terrible, so I need at least a decent pair, but just can’t justify the cost when I’m so bad at taking care of them.

Which is where Bolle’s King sunglasses come into play. I have been using the Bolle Kings for about a year now, and in that time they have become my go-to pair of shades for any outdoor activity – but especially fishing. Unfortunately I’ve had to replace them multiple times in that time period, but not due to any fault with the sunglasses. Between sitting on them, stepping on them, and dropping them in the lake they have no chance.

The Bolle King are the perfect balance between performance and price for me. I don’t think they’re as good as some of the Maui Jim’s or Costa’s out there, but they work good enough for me. And if I only end up having to replace them twice in a year time period, that ends up saving me a lot of money compared to the more expensive brands.

Besides all of that, I actually think they do a good job. The lenses are polarized and do a good job of reducing glare. And they actually stay on my face pretty well, which is a big plus when I’m reeling in a fish. Overall, I’m very happy with the Bolle Kings and would recommend them to anyone looking for a decent, budget-friendly pair of fishing sunglasses.

Reviewer Analysis

When it comes to fishing sunglasses there are a few things that are important to me. First and foremost, they need to actually work and do a good job of reducing glare. Second, they need to stay on my face when I’m moving around a lot. Third, they need to be durable because I’m very hard on my sunglasses. Fourth, they need to provide adequate coverage to protect my eyes from the sun. And fifth, they can’t break the bank.

The Bolle Kings check all of those boxes for me. Let’s take a closer look at each one:

Lens Quality

A few years ago I made the switch to polarized lenses and I’ll never go back. They make such a big difference in reducing glare, especially when you’re out on the water. The Bolle Kings have polarized lenses that do a great job of reducing glare from the sun and reflections off of the water. The lenses are treated with an anti-reflective coating to reduce the amount of reflective light bouncing off your lenses.

Frame Quality & Design

In light of how often I’ve had to replace my Bolle Kings, you might think that the frames are made of cheap plastic that breaks easily. But that’s actually not the case. The frames are made of a tough, lightweight plastic that has held up surprisingly well considering how often I’ve dropped them.

The Bolle Kings are made out of plastic and have a rectangular wrap around design. The Bolle Kings are available with polarized lenses. The Bolle Kings fit well on diamond, heart, oblong, oval, round, and square shaped faces. The glasses are a medium size. The bridge is 18mm, the lens height is 39mm, the lens width is 63mm, and the temple is 130mm. These shades have got you covered with their large frame and wrap around design.

Design

The truth is, I actually think the Bolle Kings look pretty good. By having a large frame that fits large faces, the Bolle sunglasses offer all-around eye protection in a good looking package. If you’re seeking a pretty standard bulky frame look, Bolle Kings are perfect for you. They’re not as stylish as some of the other sunglasses out there, but they look good enough for me. And they come in a variety of colors so you can find a pair that you like.

The Bolle Kings have soft rubber nose pads that ensure that your frames stay in place, no matter how active you get, while the optical accuracy is constantly maintained with the soft, flexible frame. The rubber temples on the Bolle sunglasses provide a stable and secure grip, so you can wear them comfortably on your head.

Final Verdict

In search of a new pair of fishing sunglasses on a budget? We recommend you check out the Bolle Kings. The Bolle Kings offer 100% UV protection, polarization and are scratch resistant. The frames are made out of a hardy plastic and are available in multiple different colors. The Bolle Kings are a great choice for those who are looking for a good quality pair of sunglasses without spending over $100.

Features

Oleophobic Coating for Easy Maintenance

Oleophobic coating is a special type of coating that is applied to the surface of lenses. This coating helps to repel oil and water, making it easier to keep the lenses clean.

The oleophobic coating works by creating a barrier on the surface of the lens that repels oil and water. This barrier helps to prevent fingerprints, smudges, and other dirt and debris from adhering to the lens surface.

The main advantage of an oleophobic coating is that it makes it easier to keep the lenses clean. This can be especially helpful for people who wear glasses for sports or other activities where they are likely to get sweaty or dirty.

Comfortable & Secure fit with Rubber Temples

A good fit is important for any pair of sunglasses, but it is especially important for fishing sunglasses. This is because when you are out on the water, you want a pair of sunglasses that will stay in place and provide you with the best possible protection from the sun. The last thing you want is for your sunglasses to fall off or be uncomfortable when you are trying to focus on landing a fish.

The Bolle King Sunglasses have a comfortable and secure fit thanks to their rubber temples. The rubber temples help to keep the sunglasses in place, even when you are sweating or out in the wind. They provide a bit of cushioning, which helps to make them more comfortable to wear for long periods of time.

Rubber temples are important for two main reasons. First, they help to keep your sunglasses in place. Second, they provide cushioning and comfort. When you are out on the water, you want a pair of sunglasses that will stay in place and not be uncomfortable after wearing them for an extended period of time. The Bolle King Sunglasses have both of these features, making them an ideal choice for fishing sunglasses.

Stay Clear & Dry with Hydrophobic Coating

Hydrophobic coating is a water repellant treatment that is applied to the surface of sunglasses. This treatment causes water droplets to bead up and roll off the lenses, instead of sitting on top of the lenses and obscuring your vision.

The hydrophobic coating treatment creates a barrier on the surface of the lenses that repels water. This barrier causes water droplets to bead up and roll off the lenses, instead of sitting on top of them.

The advantage of hydrophobic coating is that it keeps your vision clear, even in rainy or wet conditions. This can be especially helpful when fishing, as you will be able to see clearly through your sunglasses and spot fish in the water more easily.

Rubber Nose Pads Keep Your Sunglasses in Place

Nose pads are an important feature of sunglasses because they help keep the glasses in place on your face. They help to distribute the weight of the glasses evenly across your nose.

Rubber nose pads are made from a soft, flexible material that helps to grip your nose and keep your sunglasses in place. They are more comfortable than other types of nose pads, such as those made from plastic or metal.

The benefits of rubber nose pads include their comfort, grip, and flexibility. They can be adjusted to fit your specific nose shape and size.

Unique Frame Design for Increased Airflow and Moisture Wicking

Ventilation in sunglasses is important to prevent fogging and to keep the lenses clear. The Bolle King sunglasses have a unique frame design that helps with both of these issues. The frames are made of a lightweight plastic that is designed to allow for increased airflow. Additionally, the frame has a special coating that helps to wick away moisture. This combination of features keeps the lenses clear and prevents fogging, even when fishing in humid conditions.

The frame of the Bolle King sunglasses is made from a lightweight plastic. The plastic is designed to be breathable, which allows for increased airflow around the lenses. This helps to prevent fogging by keeping the lenses clear. Additionally, the frame has a special coating that helps to wick away moisture. Reduce Reflective Light with Latest Lens Technology

Glare from the sun can cause squinting and eye fatigue. It can lead to more serious problems like migraines, if you are susceptible. The brightness of the sun’s reflection on water is especially tough on the eyes.

Polarized lenses are specially treated to reduce glare from the sun’s reflection. This makes them ideal for fishing, driving, and any other outdoor activity where you might be exposed to strong reflective light.

The Bolle King sunglasses feature polarized lenses that help reduce reflective light and glare. This can help make your time outdoors more enjoyable by reducing eye fatigue and squinting.

Are They Right For Me?

Do You Need Polarized Lenses?

Without polarized lenses, the sun’s glare can make it difficult to see into the water. If you’re a fisherman who wants to be able to see your line and the fish you’re trying to catch, then polarized lenses are a must.

How Much Are You Willing To Spend?

Unless you’re willing to spend a lot of money, it’s important to find a pair of sunglasses that are budget-friendly. The Bolle King sunglasses are very inexpensive, making them a great option for fishermen who are on a budget.

What Level Of UV Protection Do You Need?

A great majority of the time, the sun’s UV rays can be harmful to your eyes. If you’re a fisherman who wants to be sure your eyes are protected, then it’s important to find a pair of sunglasses that offer 100% UVA/UVB protection.

Do Mirrored Lenses Benefit You?

Wearing sunglasses that have mirrored lenses can be beneficial for fishermen who want to reduce the amount of glare they’re exposed to. Mirrored lenses reflect the sun’s rays away from your eyes, which can help you see into the water more clearly.

What Color Lenses Do You Prefer?

In light of the fact that the Bolle King sunglasses come with different colored lenses, it’s important to choose the right color for you. If you’re a fisherman who wants to be able to see your line and the fish you’re trying to catch, then it’s important to choose a lens color that will help you see into the water more clearly.

Do You Need A Prescription?

The Bolle King sunglasses are available with prescription lenses, so if you’re a fisherman who needs them, you’re in luck!
