Our Thoughts

I was really on the fence about whether or not to buy the Oakley Holbrook sunglasses. I had read some good reviews, but I wasn’t sure if they would be comfortable or if they would look good on me. But I’m so glad I decided to take the plunge and buy them!

They are super comfortable to wear and they look great. Most importantly, they help me see better when I’m out fishing. The Prizm lenses are fantastic for cutting down on glare from the sun bouncing off the water. And the overall style of the glasses looks good with just about anything.

For Oakleys, these were not as expensive as some of their other models. So that along with their overall solid performance, I’m very happy with my purchase.

Reviewer Analysis

Lens Quality

When it comes to fishing sunglasses, lens quality is key. And when it comes to lens quality, Oakley is in a league of its own. Their lenses are made from the highest quality materials and offer unbeatable clarity.

Oakley is known for its cutting-edge lens technology, and a few of their lens technologies are particularly well-suited for fishing.

The Prizm lens is a specialized lens that is designed to enhance your vision. Prizm lenses are available in a variety of different types, each of which is designed for a specific purpose. Being able to see clearly is important when you’re trying to spot fish in the water.

Oakley’s High Definition Optics technology ensures that you’ll have a clear view. Given the high quality of the lenses, you’ll be able to see into the water more easily. This will help you spot fish so you can make the most of your time on the water.

The large area of the lenses provides superior coverage. This means that you’ll have more protection from the sun.

In the time that I’ve been using them, I’ve really come to enjoy the level of detail I can see while wearing them. While there are some better fishing sunglasses out there, it’s hard to beat the level of protection and clarity you get with the Holbrooks, particularly when you consider they are a couple hunder dollars less expensive than the “better” fishing sunglassess.

Frames

Personally, one of the best parts of the Oakley Holbrook’s is their classic look. I really like the square shape and wayfarer style. They don’t provide as wide of coverage as the Flak 2.0 XL’s do, but it’s nice having a single pair of sunglasses that I can wear regardless of what I’m doing.

The frames are made of a durable nylon material and the metal rivets and classic styling make them both stylish and timeless. The arms of the glasses are curved to provide a more comfortable and secure fit.

Oakley’s patented three-point fit system keeps the sunglasses in place well on my head, without feeling too much pressure on the side of my temple or around my ears. This is important because I don’t want my sunglasses to fall off when I’m out on the water.

Durability

With respect to durability, the Oakley Holbrook sunglasses are very durable. The frame has held up quite well, though I do tend to baby my sunglasses a bit. So I’m pretty good about not dropping them and keeping them in their case when not in use.

The Holbrook’s lenses are scratch-resistant and so far, I haven’t had any issues with scratches or any of the protective lens films flaking off.

Final Verdict

After using the Oakley Holbrook sunglasses, I knew they were the perfect pair of fishing sunglasses for me. They’re made with high-quality materials, they provide good visibility, and they’re comfortable to wear – everything I could ever want in a pair of sunglasses.

Features

100% UV and Blue Light Protection

The sun produces hazardous ultraviolet (UV) rays that can cause damage to your eyes. Exposure to UV rays can cause a number of eye problems, such as cataracts, macular degeneration, and pinguecula.

Wearing sunglasses with 100% UV protection helps to reduce down your chances of developing these conditions.

Not wearing sunglasses with UV protection can increase your risk of developing a number of eye problems, such as cataracts, macular degeneration, and pinguecula.

High Definition Optics for Razor-Sharp Vision

High Definition Optics is a technology used in Oakley sunglasses that improves vision by using precision lenses that minimize distortion. This results in a clearer, sharper image for the wearer.

High Definition Optics works by using a series of curved lens surfaces that correct for different types of distortion. This results in less eye fatigue and improved clarity of vision.

The benefits of High Definition Optics include sharper vision, less eye fatigue, and improved clarity of vision. This can be especially helpful when fishing, as it can help you to see fish more clearly underwater.

100% Protection from Harmful UV Rays with Plutonite Lenses

Plutonite is a material that is used to make the lenses in Oakley sunglasses. This material is designed to block all types of ultraviolet (UV) rays from the sun. This includes UVA rays, UVB rays, and UVC rays. Plutonite blocks high-energy visible (HEV) light, which is known as blue light.

Plutonite works by only allowing visible light to pass through the lens. This means that UV rays and HEV light are blocked from entering your eyes. This helps to protect your eyes from damage that can be caused by exposure to these types of harmful light rays.

The benefits of Plutonite lenses are that they offer 100% protection from harmful UV rays and HEV light. Additionally, these lenses are scratch-resistant, so you don’t have to worry about them being damaged if they are dropped or scratched.

The Oakley Holbrook Sunglasses are a modern take on a classic style. The square frame with a wayfarer style is perfect for those who want to make a fashion statement without sacrificing function. The sunglasses are available with mirrored and polarized lenses, which can help reduce glare and protect your eyes from the sun’s harmful rays. Enhanced Durability and Longevity With Hard Coating

Hard coating is a type of lens coating that is applied to the surface of the lens. This coating helps to protect the lens from scratches, smudges, and other types of damage.

Hard coating works by creating a barrier on the surface of the lens. This barrier helps to prevent scratches and other types of damage from happening to the lens.

The benefits of hard coating include enhanced durability and longevity. This type of coating can help to extend the life of your lenses by protecting them from damage.

O-Matter Frame is Lightweight & Durable for All-Day Comfort

O-Matter is a proprietary nylon material that makes these sunglasses both lightweight and durable. The metal rivets and classic styling of this sunglass make it a piece you can dress up or down and really rock for any occasion.

The keyhole nose bridge embodies that timeless style and caters to a wide range of nose shapes out there while letting a little air flow through to keep you cool. The curved tumble arm ends create a more comfortable and secure fit that can be worn for hours on end.

Holbrook comes in a variety of colors and holds a range of prescriptions including progressives plus it’s available in prescription with oakley prism lens technology or sporter export optimized lenses. You can get your Oakley Holbrook online at sporterx today.

Polarized Lenses for Reduced Glare

As a result of long, thin molecules arranged horizontally along the lens surface, horizontally polarized light cannot reach your eyes because they can only absorb light that oscillates along them. As sunlight is unpolarized, some light can pass through, but not all, because it blocks the horizontally polarized part of sunlight.

As polarized lenses block the horizontally polarized part of sunlight, they can reduce the glare caused by the sun and other bright surfaces.

Precise Colors and Contrast with Prizm Lenses

In order to make colors pop and details easy to see, Oakley’s proprietary prism lens technology adjusts the light spectrum and intensifies contrast. Prizm lenses are available in a variety of colors and tints, tailored to particular environments and activities.

Oakley’s engineers have developed a special dyeing process that allows them to change the light transmission properties of the lens material. By blocking certain colors of light at specific nanometers on the light spectrum, they are able to increase contrast or reduce glare depending on the needs of the user.

The benefits of Prizm lenses are twofold: first, they provide enhanced contrast and color clarity that can help improve your performance in any activity; second, they offer protection from harmful UV rays.
