As we all know, the right gear can make or break a fishing trip. That’s why I was so excited to try out Daiwa’s Ballistic MQ LT spinning reel. After using it for the last several months, I can say that it’s a fantastic reel that offers solid performance with a wide range of features.

The Daiwa Ballistic MQ LT Spinning Reel is designed to maximize your performance in all water conditions, featuring a Magsealed mainshaft system to prevent salt or sand from entering the gears. It has an ergonomic aluminum handle that makes it easy to use right- or left-handed, as well as a gently sway to make retrieving easier.

I have been using the Daiwa Ballistic MQ LT for several months now and am pleased with the results. It has helped me catch more fish than ever before, and I have no doubt that it will do the same for you.

If you are looking for a high-quality spinning reel that can tackle a variety of fishing conditions and environments, then the Ballistic MQ LT is an excellent option.

Some might argue that you can’t go wrong with a Daiwa spinning reel. I’m here to tell you they’re right. I’ve been using the Daiwa Ballistic MQ LT Spinning Reel for a few months now in a variety of fishing environments and conditions, from lake fishing to inshore saltwater fishing. The reel is available in multiple different sizes (1000, 2500, 3000, and 4000) and gear ratios (5.2:1 and 6.2:1). For this review, I’ve been using the 2500 model.

Performance

First off, let me just say that the Daiwa Ballistic LT is one of the lightest spinning reels on the market right now, ranging from 6 oz up to 8.1 oz depending on the size. Despite its light weight, it is surprisingly powerful and can handle huge runs without fail. The drag system is smooth and reliable with up to 26 lbs of drag depending on the size of reel you’re using.

The Air Rotor design reduces weight by 15% which helps to keep this reel light but also strong for its size. The Digigear A7075 aircraft-grade aluminum gearing also increases torque so you can feel confident in its power when fighting big fish.

Durability

The Monocoque Body design makes this reel extremely durable and rigid, while also maximizing internal space for improved power. It has a Magsealed mainshaft system which prevents salt or sand from entering into the gears of the reel for maximum performance over time. The handles are also made out of aluminum to prevent corrosion on the body of the reel itself which increases its longevity even more.

The Ballistic MQ LT has an ergonomic aluminum handle that makes it comfortable to use both right- or left-handed retrievers, while also having a gentle sway that makes retrieving easier. The reel is BraidReady so it can be used with braided lines without any problems – perfect for bass fishing!

Lures

The Daiwa Ballistic MQ LT performs great with different types of lures – from crankbaits to swimbaits – no matter what type of fishing environment you’re in. I’ve had success with all types of lures when using this reel, making it one of my go-to reels when out on the water.
